The land was first owned by the man named Caleb Hethcote, After his death, his daughter inherited the land, but soon after on March 7, 1788. the town was founded. The most popular historic places in Scarsdale are Wayside Cottage, it is historic house, in which Sacrsdale's public library was housed since 1928, Caleb Hyatt House, wood-framed building, Scarsdale Woman's Club, it is beautiful building, acquired by Scarsdale Woman's Club for use as clubhouse, United States Post Office, and Scardale Railroad Station. Scarsdale is mostly known for its amazing natural attractions, there are plenty of parks, there is also Greenburgh Nature Center, in there you can find many nature trails, you can explore the forest and wildlife.
